Summer is moving and moving fast that school is right around the corner for your kids. Now for some parents they are over joyed that school is coming, but like any parent is not looking forward to back to school shopping. For some it can be very overwhelming, expensive and kind of feel like Christmas all rolled in one. But there is hope it’s July and some of your favorite stores are offering all types of deals and discounts on items your kids will need for school. Here are my top 5 stores that are offering all kinds of deals before the back to school rush begins.
- Walmart– This store offers a one stop shopping experience. You can get all your clothes (Uniforms), school supplies, and school snacks in one place. The best part is they are reasonable. If you shop early they will have sales on items like underwear, socks and t-shirts that your kids will need all the time. Also if your Walmart is like mine they team up with the local schools in the community and get copies of the school supply list for each grade. That’s great for parents to have this type of store because you won’t have to shop anywhere else.
- Target- This store offers a one stop shopping experience also. They do offer deals such as $1 name brand crayons, notebooks Etc. They also in the coming weeks offer deals on book bags such as the character bags that all the little kids go crazy over. My son last year had gone crazy over the Transformers he had to have those characters for everything. Bad part was we waited too long to find it. Shopping early will help you to get the characters your children love!
- Staples- They offer great deals and discounts overall on all school supplies. What I found is that like the other stores shopping early to get the bulk items you need is the best way to go in Staples. A good friend of mine just told me a sub store of Staples called SchoolKidz offers a back to school pack (fundraiser) which will have all the supplies requested by the school. The neat part is she pays the one price and all of the supplies are sent to her home for her child before school starts. PTA’s can really get this going to start a fundraiser for their school right away and by offering another option for parents to get supplies without them having to go to the store.
- 5 Below– I love this store where everything is a bargain for under $5 bucks. But if you shop smart and check early you can find deals for all kids. Even your teens can shop and look cool doing it. They have backpacks for $5 bucks. For the fashion conscious child they can have a different pack for any day of the week. They also have those supplies that run out quickly in other stores like pens, pencils and notebooks for just a $1. As well as weekly buy one get one offers on special items. Don’t have enough glue sticks in another store checkout 5 below!!
- Dollar Tree– If you are working on a real tight budget you can get all your supply needs at the Dollar Store. Nothing more than a $1. I have gone here to get items that were gone from the other stores. They always seem to have everything that your child would need for their back to school list.
- TOYS R US– Let’s face it this place is more than just toys. They have stuff for practical items too like book bags, crayons and etc. Right now the deal I am jumping on is if you buy the book bag you get a lunch box for free. My kids always love the popular character themed bags, so shop early so your kids don’t get disappointed.
- Dollar General– If you need a one stop shopping and you want savings Dollar General has it. For those who require just more than school supplies like college students on a budget. This will be the place for you. Often you can get deals from notebooks to pillows and sheets. If you spend over a certain amount you can save over all on their low prices and coupons are accepted!
For any parent back to school shopping can be easy and fun when you plan ahead. Happy Shopping!!!
So Tell me, which is your favorite store to shop for back to school supplies!
